María Medem started self-publishing comics after studying Fine Arts. In 2018, she published Cenit and won Best New Author at the 37th Comic Barcelona Fair and the ACDCómic Critics' Best Breakthrough Author award. She has created illustrations for publications such as The New Yorker and New York Times.
